PEDIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

amaica Hospital Medical Center has full time career opportunity in our Ambulatory Care Center fo a Licensed Family Nurse Practitioners (certified in Family practice with a least one year in adult, primary care, Peds, ambulatory and or family medicine. NP with experience working with diabetic patients is a plus.

Jamaica Hospital is a 424 bed fully accredited community teaching hospital with a Level 1 trauma center and with over 120,000 ER visits annually. The ER is designated as a Level 1 trauma center. Our Chest Pain Center offers immediate evaluation and the recently expanded Pediatric ED is equipped to handle the most critical cases.

Requirements:
Current NYS NP license Nurse Practitioner with national certification as Family Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum one year experience in primary, adult and or family medicine.
Experience working with diabetic patients preferred.
PC Proficiency and with Electronic Medical Records

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP) by the state of New York
• Minimum 1-2 years preferable experience in the field of either Pediatrics or Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with patients, family, physicians, and hospital staff in fulfilling duties and responsibilities of position.
• Critical thinking, willingness to learn, motivation to grow, and empathy.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus and preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $143,000.00 per year
